Once he finished his pre-university studies, in the nineties, Andrés Maurette dedicated himself to modeling in the fashion house La Maison, Havana, Cuba. In that same period he began to relate with artists from various branches of national culture, although he strengthened his ties with creators from the field of visual arts. He developed relationships of empathy and friendship with outstanding artists such as Alexis Leiva (Kcho), Roberto Fabelo, Ernesto Rancaño, Agustín Bejarano, Manuel Mendive and Pedro Pablo Oliva; and as a result of this experience of interrelation, he decided to become an art dealer. Observing the productive work of these masters, imbued with the knowledge or concepts that they promulgated, and after developing several technical training courses, he decided to personally venture into artistic manifestations such as painting and sculpture.
